The Course -
The course runs from the 30th July - 18th August 2012 inclusive. The course is excellent value as we provide; West End Professionals who have a track record of professional Theatre in West End Shows, costumes, lighting & sound equipment, scenery & props, make-up and the technical staff to run the presentations. On the first day we will meet at 10am for registration. You will meet all the teachers and helpers for this course. The morning session will be a chance for us to get to know each other, and in the afternoon, we will hold auditions to cast the production. (Although if there is a large subscription to this course we will hold Auditions in late June 2012.) All performers will be notified of their parts the following morning, and then rehearsals will be underway.
As a student on this Musical Theatre course you will continually come into contact with professional West End practitioners’ from the Industry who not only train you to the highest standard but also pass on a wealth of experience and advice. The course is designed to develop your technical skills in acting, singing, dancing, and performance. It will fire your imagination, and go some way to prepare you for further training or potentially a career in Performing Arts.
This course will be split into dance workshops, singing workshops, and acting workshops all relevant to this Musical. You will learn the basics of how to perform by experienced professionals. It aims to provide students with the wide-ranging skills demanded of a musical theatre performer. The course is graduated to build these skills and develop a professional rehearsal technique.
The course runs from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm every day for two weeks inclusive. There will be two presentations this year, one on the Friday evening 10th/17th August, and a presentation on the Saturday afternoon or evening 11th/18th August.
