We offer the possibility to be part of the This year for LMFL will stage a "Pastiche," an opera that consists of arias and ensembles drawn from various famous operas, with an invented story; short recitatives will be spoken in English.
The Pastiche was very popular among European theaters in the late 1600’s and early 1700’s. A pasticcio or pastiche is an opera or other musical work composed of works by different composers, who may or may not have been working together. Or it can be an adaptation or localization of an existing work.
The work to be staged is titled "The Wives of Comacchio" and will be a parody of "The Merry Wives of Windsor" by Shakespeare.
Singers who want to take part in the project will have to choose two or more arias on the list which are suited to their voice.
