Millfield is a top English public school and the Millfield English Language Holiday Courses are well established. We are accredited by the British Council, members of English UK and the first summer school invited to join Quality English. We are a Trinity and a Cambridge examination centre and past winner of the Language Travel Magazine international star awards for 'Best High School'.

We cater for students aged 6– 17 years old of all abilities who enjoy English tuition in small classes in the mornings and in the afternoons choose from the following options, (combinations of which can be chosen on a weekly basis):

•The Preparation for UK Schools and Cambridge Exam Courses (PET/FCE/CAE)offering a further 8hrs of English tuition and academic lessons.
•Sport academies with qualified instructors, (athletics, swimming, basketball, golf, tennis, fencing, football, badminton, hockey, squash, riding, rugby, tetrathlon)
•Specialist tuition in academy dance, drama, fashion, etiquette, young leaders, film, rock music, musical theatre, chess, cookery or fine art.
•Sports and recreation (participation in a wide variety of activities), which is our most popular course for Seniors (12 -17 yrs) and the option for all Juniors (6-11yrs).

These afternoon course options can be mixed and matched on a weekly basis depending on campus. All students are accommodated in boarding houses on one of three beautiful and safe campuses and participate fully in the social programme and excursions. These typically include discos, village fête, football competitions, quizzes, talent shows, mini-Olympics, swimming galas, trips to Stratford, Oxford, Bristol Science Museum, Warwick Castle, visits to the coast and Theme Parks. Students from all campuses come together for some events to enable siblings and friends to meet up.

Optional extras are available:
•An early bird week in Oxford, Downside or Millfield Prep.
•London or Oxford Weekend trips (Seniors, summer)
•Cambridge or Trinity Examination, recognised qualifications.

Our courses are 2, 3, 4, 6 or 7 weeks long and the dates for 2012 are 1st – 15th April and 1st July – 19th August 2012.
