Sherborne Summer School of Music is held at Sherborne School which forms the centre of the beautiful Dorset medieval country market town of Sherborne. The school has excellent facilities for both rehearsals and concerts including a theatre, chapel, large concert hall, two recital halls and a brand new state of the art music school. Our courses are all practical and are designed for adult students, amateurs and professionals - they are internationally recognised as market leaders in both their excellence and imagination. Sherborne Summer School also supports the Concertfest series of concerts that runs concurrently with the summer school - circa. thirty concerts in two weeks from large orchestral and choral concerts to the most precious chamber music. The school lasts for two weeks (28 July - 11 August) and each course is for one week. Whether you be old friends or new friends enroling for the first time there is no doubt Sherborne is a very special treat and this year promises to be no exception.
