The UK's most popular adult choral week
This national and international course celebrates its 25th anniversary by relocating to the University of Chester in August 2019. It was founded in 1995 and has operated annually from Harrogate and then from Cranleigh School (Surrey) during that period. It is recognised as the largest adult choral week of its type in the UK, and increasingly attracts singers from the EU and further afield. The main attraction of the course is that it offers a complete mix of choral styles and experiences. Members take part in chamber choirs (usually four of these) exploring up to 5 centuries of choral repertoire. At the end of the week there is always a choral/orchestral performace. Venues have included Guildford, Ripon, Winchester Cathedrals and York Minster. In 2019 the celebratory work chosen is the Verdi Requiem to be performed in Chester Cathedral. Fees are extremely competitive and, for residential members, include high standard en suite accommodation.
