Piano Summer School at Scotland's National Music School, August 9th to 14th
Piano Summer School - 9 to 14 August 2020
Following the success of our Piano Summer School in August 2019, we are delighted to be running a similar programme in the summer of 2020.
Open to pianists age 13 to 19, Grade 6 and above, the Piano Summer School is an intensive week designed to improve technique, confidence and playing ability whilst also having fun. It is run by the experienced staff of our Keyboard Faculty and is led by Helena Buckmayer and John Cameron. It is open to just ten participants, ensuring an individual and personalised approach.
The Piano Summer School starts on the Sunday evening with a welcome and chance to get to know each other and ends on the Friday afternoon with an informal concert to which friends and family are invited. It takes place in the beautiful environment of Coates Hall, the Victorian building and surrounding gardens in which St Mary's Music School has its home and which is located in Haymarket, in the centre of Edinburgh.
The Piano Summer School 2020 includes:
Duo coaching with another instrumentalist
A concert at the Edinburgh International Festival
Food and accomodation in twin ensuite-rooms
Residential place: £750 all inclusive.
Day place: £550.
The deadline for applications is April 30th 2020.
