International Woodwind Summer School, 1st to 6th August
For advanced players, taught by the faculty of Scotland's national music school
St Mary's Music School, Edinburgh is Scotland's national music school, one of five specialist music schools in the UK funded by the UK Government and providing the finest training in Britain. The International Woodwind Summer school is open to young musicians age 14 to 17, Grade 7 and above (Trinity or ABRSM) who wish to improve their skills in an environment that is fun and supportive.
The course is led by St Mary's Music School staff who are experts in helping young musicians build their skills in way that is best suited to each individual. With a maximum of sixteen participants you can be sure of lots of individual and focused attention.
Courses are made up of a mix of individual and group classes.
The summer school takes place in beautiful Coates Hall, our home in the heart of Edinburgh. You'll share a twin room in our boarding house and excursions to a concert and to see the city are included.
Edinburgh itself is one of the most beautiful and culturally vibrant cities in the world.
Whilst we plan to deliver all summer schools in Edinburgh, we will offer a digital version if restrictions due to Covid 19 mean that holding a live course is not possible.
