New for 2019 we have introduced Concord Plus - a series of structured masterclasses and workshops that run daily throughout the week 15.30-17.00 (excluding Wednesdays). The sessions provide students learning opportunities outside of the classroom environment on a topic of their interest, and include specialist subject tuition, practical activities and opportunities for social interaction. All study materials are provided.
Accommodation is on campus in single gender boarding residences arranged by age. Bedrooms are single with our older students enjoying en suite bathroom facilities and our younger students sharing bathroom facilities with 3-4 students. All bedrooms have a wash basin.
Our University Preparation courses are 2 week intensive academic preparation programmes with world-class specialists from Oxford, Cambridge and other leading universities delivering lectures and masterclasses for each of our programmes. The timetable also includes interview preparation and personal statement workshops. Accommodation is off campus in the village of Acton Burnell in single gender boarding residences. Bedrooms are single with en suite bathroom facilities.
We have excellent pastoral care with a dedicated Safeguarding Manager and Boarding Manager; house parents live in the boarding residences and are very much involved in the students care and wellbeing.
A full leisure programme is provided with supervised activities arranged by our qualified and dedicated Physical/Outdoor Education and Activities team. These activities take place after lessons and on weekends. All arranged activities mix nationalities to enhance learning. A full day excursion each weekend is arranged and one half day excursion to the local towns of Shrewsbury or Telford each Wednesday afternoon.
