Symphonic Wind Band Weekends
Description:
Our Symphonic Wind Band Weekends currently take place in three stunning locations, Shrewsbury School in Shropshire, Culford School, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and St Peter's School, York.
Residential musicians arrive on Friday evening for a welcome buffet and drink and rehearsals take place during the day on Saturday and Sunday, culminating in an informal play-through on the Sunday afternoon. There is also the opportunity to take part in small ensembles on Saturday evening or just enjoy relaxing and socialising with new friends.
If you live locally or would prefer to book your own accommodation you are very welcome to come along on a non-residential basis.
Our conductor, Tom Milford has a wealth of professional conducting experience and by choosing a wide variety of challenging music from the Symphonic Wind Band Repertoire, his rehearsals are aimed at inspiring musicians to play to the very best of their ability.
